Joshua Cairos In Magic, Tifa, Martial Artist looks like a really scary extra combat card, although her abilities may need a bit of parsing before that becomes evident
It's a little slow and narrow but offers some interesting play patterns
Creature Spirit // Enchantment Aura Common Campbell White null/null NOT LEGAL Standard NOT LEGAL Future NOT LEGAL Historic LEGAL Timeless LEGAL Gladiator LEGAL Pioneer LEGAL Explorer LEGAL Modern LEGAL Legacy LEGAL Pauper LEGAL Vintage LEGAL Penny LEGAL Commander LEGAL Oathbreaker NOT LEGAL Standardbrawl NOT LEGAL Brawl NOT LEGAL Alchemy LEGAL Pauper Commander LEGAL Duel NOT LEGAL Oldschool NOT LEGAL Premodern NOT LEGAL Predh Whenever Binding Geist attacks, target creature an opponent controls gets -2/-0 until end of turn
Sacrifice 4 Forests (and they have to be untapped to boot) and you get a 4/4 creature for basically mana that lost you four lands
The Scarab God This one may be a stretch as the current Historic format is overly aggressive, but The Scarab God is one of the stronger grindy win-cons you can play in midrange/control
And yet, with all this reasoning that it isn't a good idea, I'm not sure if it's something worth actually caring about
