Using your two-mana spell to take out a three-mana target always leaves you wondering if you could have waited and taken out a dragon without worrying that the dragon will be the wrong color

Some of that is just good fortune in how all these effects are worded, but Id say its more that discarding is an inherently effective way to interface with Magic s core mechanics
My only wish is that Secrets of Strixhaven pays us off with a batch of playable learn cards to make all these lessons more interesting for Constructed and Cube
This wouldnt be because I want to make money on them, but instead because Id want that opportunity to sit down at a picnic table and re-live an epic battle from childhood
